The Youth Association is proud to have been an adopted charity of Moto in the Community since 2012. Over the years Moto has contributed to a number of different projects, including, Residential programmes, StreetSmart, our Talent Match project and Urban Arts work.
As part of our relationship with Moto, our ambassadors visit the site several times a year and put on a fundraising event. This year activities included face painting, cake sales, tombola and glitter tattoos, which were ran by the young people.
This year Moto has awarded us £1600, which two of our ambassadors Lorelli Greenword and Chirstian Ford went to collect from Robert Oconnell.
This money is to go towards our project #BikeLife which is based in Barnsley. This project looks to raise awareness of knife crime and promote the positive aspects of being part of the bike group, such as making new friends, exercise and being outdoors. At the same time the project supports young people to improve in confidence and gain skills such as team building, bike safety and bike maintenance.
Moto in the Community Trust helps to support communities around its sites, by working with community groups and charities to help support them to make a real difference in the community.
