TYA hits the streets in Monk Bretton

IMG_0492If you keep up with us on our Facebook page then you’ll know we recently secured over £100,000 to work with young people in Monk Bretton, Barnsley, through the Big Lottery Fund. For those of who didn’t know, now you do as the Barnsley Chronicle recently wrote a news story highlighting this brilliant news!

After a successful 4 years we’ll be back working in Monk Bretton again to host some fantastic summer and Easter community events. We’ll be doing this by setting up a Community Champions groups to give young people the opportunity to get actively involved in organising these events in their area and allowing them access to develop essential life and leadership skills.

That’s not all, activities like skiing, bike building are all part of our “Adopt the Outdoors” programme to offer young people opportunities they otherwise might not be able to do.

We’ll be on the streets every Monday and Wednesday night so keep an eye out for us and don’t forget to say hi!

The best bit? It’s all for FREE!
