Over the Easter holidays The Youth Association asked over 300 young people living in Leeds what they wanted from their local area. Young people were asked what they liked about where they lived, what they thought was missing, what mattered to them in the way of youth services and support services and asked to give examples of things they wanted in their local area.
Examples given included more skate parks, places to celebrate their talents and success and workshops to try out new things.
The consultation is still on going with moblie units visiting schools at lunch time and staff going to visit existing youth groups with the aim of getting 500 young people’s views before the end of April. All the information collected will help decide what services young people will have access to in their local areas over the next couple of years.
If you have something to say or know any young people who might have something to say you can still fill out the survey at,
