Never too old (or young) to start

I had a great meeting this week with Terry King OBE, who is the North of England manager for PRIME, (Prince Charles’ initiative to help older people to get into enterprise and start their own business).  We are keen to bring together some of the young entrepreneurs who are currently doing such great work on our Young Upstarts programme and some of the older self-starters that Terry’s programme supports.  It should be a great opportunity for some inter-generational learning and a chance for Young Upstarts to pass on their skills as well as learning a thing or two from their older counterparts.  At a time when the young and old are most at risk from suffering economic disadvantage, the more we can do to get people building businesses early, (or starting them late), the better will be the future for business in Yorkshire.
