Talent Match celebrates

Leeds City Region Talent Match Ambassadors smashed it at the celebration event at the Leeds Marriott Hotel.

14 young people organised and facilitated the event which was host to around 200 guests including partner organisations and local businesses.

The region is proud to be one of the most successful Talent Match programmes in England and we firmly believe that this success is due to the involvement of young people.

The event celebrated the programme’s success by handing awards to key workers, employers and young people.

Congratulations were given to all the winners, especially Nikita Wilson (inspirational story of the year) and Jonathan Whettlock (Young Ambassador of the year).

Both Laura-Jane Rawlings, CEO of Youth Employment UK and the Youth Ambassadors gave powerful presentations which reiterated the importance of youth voice in any programme that aims to support them.

Charlotte McEvoy, Talent Match programme manager for the region said, “The young people have done an amazing job! The feedback from the delegates attending has been the best we have ever had for an event.”
