Exploring gender through youth work
Her Future empowers girls and young women to build confidence, strengthen self-worth and develop the voice to challenge inequality and make informed choices about their lives. We build trusted youth work relationships and safe, supportive spaces, where we help young women explore issues that affect them, develop confidence in who they are and feel able to speak up for themselves and others.
Her Future is our empowerment programme for girls and young women, creating safe spaces where they can explore the issues that shape their lives and futures.
Delivered in further education colleges, schools, community settings and through street-based youth work, the programme combines trusted youth work relationships with purposeful group work and targeted interventions.
Young women build confidence, strengthen self-worth and develop a greater understanding of the social pressures and inequalities they may face.
Sessions explore themes such as healthy relationships, personal safety, emotional wellbeing, body image and self-expression. Our aim is to help young women feel safer, more confident in who they are, and better equipped to challenge harmful norms, advocate for themselves, and make informed choices about their futures.
